Geophysics seabed profiling

In addition to the vibracoring (see our last blog) geophysics was utilised to assist with the selection of the preferred site for the marine facilities for the new mine site on Winchelsea Island north of Groote. Marine & Earth Sciences travelled up to the NT from NSW to undertake Side Scan Sonar Surveys, Sub-bottom profiling, Continuous Marine Seismic Refraction and Onshore Seismic Refraction work (to correlate with the geological materials encountered in the onshore boreholes that were drilled).
